Network Adapter for insertion of one ASI/TS or Data signal into PDH Network
The 1800 Series Network Adaptor makes transmission of one ASI/TS or LVDS stream via PDH network easy.
ASI and LVDS input stream signals gets adapted to facilitate transport via one of the standard PDH network bitrates, allowing economical use of the bandwidth available (2, 8, 34/45, 140 Mbit/s).
Signal may be set up for Interleaving or de-Interleaving, and conversion of 188 byte packets to 204 byte packets.
Error free transmission is secured by implementation of Reed-Solomon error correction (204, 188-8) for non error protected transmission links.
Combining transmission via satellite with one or more of the KLEINBIT network interfaces for ASI signal transport via PDH, or TCP/IP will allow telecommunication and cable TV network service providers to transport the digital video services over their existing terrestrial infrastructures.
